Being assertive, direct, honest (say what really want to say), ask what really want to ask, and don't fear rejection. All of that is a privilege, because not everyone is capable and dare to be and do that.
As simple as:
"Hi, I want to kiss you, may I?"
If the answer yes, just do that.
If the answer no, it's okay.
"I can't make it happen because I'm not interested in it."
If people hate you, let it be. At least you aren't misleading people.
In the end, no one gets hurt by your lip service, or other lies because you don't want to hurt people by saying the truth. And every lie will be more hurting that the pain truth.
